Hadjipapa Pola McCammon

She was born in Nicosia in 1963. She studied Fine Arts in Maryland, USA and Visual Communications in London.
She was involved in producing editing videos in the private sector and at the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation. She was co-owner of pioneering gallery-bar, “Eridanus”, situated in Old Nicosia from 1988-1990 with major exhibitions and cultural events. In 1992 she attended an intensive course of Spanish language in Mexico and from 1993 until 2000 she lived for several periods in Spain, Venezuela and California where she attended various  workshops about painting. She is member  of the groups “Open Studios” and “Artists and Artists” and she maintains workshop in Old Nicosia, where she deals mainly with  collage and nixed media. She has four solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group among them - Verket-Avesta, Sweden -“Rendevouz” (2010), Is not gallery - “Rich art in poor times” (2010), Bi-communal exhibition at  Nicosia airport - “Message of Pease” (2009) Municipal Art Center “Under Construction” (2009), Circulo de Bellas Artes- Madrid “Unclaimed luggage” (2005), Open Studios within the walls of Nicosia (2003).
